Background or wallpaper or whatever you call it

I have a real hard time reading text that is superimposed over the transparent background picture of a baseball field in ootp. How can I change the background baseball field picture to flat color? (I use the classic skin).

It's hiding in your root Data Folder.

If you happen to be on a Mac, it's stored in yourcomputername/yourvolumename/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/Out o fthe Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 20/backgrounds

That file only affects the background image for the splash acreen, not the main UI Screens.

I can't figure out where that image file is either. Like the OP, it hurts my eyes, and I'd like to expunge it from the UI with extreme prejudice.

[EDIT:] I have discovered that you can turn off the "semi-transparent background" in the user settings, which helps a lot.

Has anyone figured this out yet? Would be nice to know where to locate the main UI screen to have the ability to alter it.

Just guessing but believe you are referring to the background_overlay image found in \data\skins\ootp classic\images
