Complete Major & Minor League Facegen Pack

The goal of this facegen pack is to compile as many current major and minor league players as possible into one set.

As of right now I have a complete set of everyone currently assigned to MLB, AAA, and AA. Many of these have been compiled from various users here, and several hundred are my own creations.

One other unique thing about this set is that is will use the baseball-reference minor league id for the naming of the files. This way in future years if say Felipe Rivero changes his name to Felipe Vazquez no problem, you won't have to fix anything.

Here is the download link to the current full set
If you downloaded the first file on April 10 you only need to download the update files. If you are downloading for the first time you will only need the update files that are dated past the version you downloaded.

Full Pack (as of 5/15)

May 15 update file

Next up will be to work on the full season A leagues (California,Carolina,Florida State, Midwest & South Atlantic)

Everyone is encouraged to join in and add to the set. Together we can make this happen.

Here is a link to the current missing players for those leagues

For any players you create don't worry about naming convention. I can fix that on my end.

Hopefully there will be enough interest in this to keep it going.

Really nice, how does it work with the naming? They auto load in game like those with regular naming? And if they do and you have already facegens with regular naming which will be preferred?

jwisenberg 04-22-2018 09:45 PM

They do auto load in game in ootp19. I believe it checks for the bb-ref minor id first before checking for the player name.

Hey I've been playing the crap out of OOTP19 which usually encourages me to work on FaceGens. I've been collecting pics from MiLB.com for the missing players by organization, just started yesterday, so only two done so far but wondered how far you've gotten on the Class A and below leagues ? seems like we're working towards the same goals. PM if you're interested in working together on this?

I just shared this with Jwis because it will have some of the missing FGs in it and i've added his renamed ones as well...

SO this file is almost 37,000 strong and growing regularily

Come on guys...

I know there are other FG makers that could jump in on this project and we could actually try and get FGs for as many players in the default rosters as possible... foreign leagues and indy leagues as well. It'd be easy to maintain this project if we really knock out the hard work this year and get everything we can done

Did a few from your minor league spreadsheet - Can probably do more when time permits.

Added the missing Rome Braves from the list, with the exception of Luis Mora, who I can't find a usable picture of. Also included my latest effort at a decent Austin Riley (I think I finally got pretty close).

Just to clarify, this is only 2018 active players correct?

jwisenberg 05-04-2018 10:15 PM

mclowan thanks for the rome guys. Here are a bunch of pics of Mora if one of these might work

and yes, this is meant to be only a current day facegen pack

hope to have all of the full season teams done by the end of next week, and will post the next update at that time.

Did the missing West Virginia Power players, and managed to make a decent Luis Mora. Also included some upgraded (in my opinion) players that I happened to already have done.

Sorry for the noob question, do I just copy all these files over to the facegen folder?

jwisenberg 05-23-2018 07:33 PM

you can, yes

Am I missing something on these? When I download them and unzip the file, the filenames look like the screenshot below. Those don't look like facegen filenames to me.

jwisenberg 05-23-2018 10:54 PM

nope, it is just a different way of naming the files. They will work this way. I did this with the future in mind. For example at the beginning of this season, Pirates pitcher Felipe Vazquez was going by Felipe Rivero. If you had a facegen file with the old naming structure of Felipe_Rivero.fg and you downloaded an updated roster with his name changed then your facegen would no longer work without either altering the fg name or manually assigning the facegen in game. This way if names are different from roster set to roster set the new facegen naming will always work as the baseball-reference ids will never change.

Now keep in mind this is only meant to be a current day facegen pack. As to my knowledge they will not work with any historical or other roster set.

tklem321 05-23-2018 11:04 PM

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Sounds like the best way to do it.

chriskelly 05-26-2018 01:41 PM

too stupid to figure it out!

i'm too stupid to get this to work. I extracted the zip into my FG_files folder, and then in settings did an update/generate photos. but, it didn't seem to work. Do I first need to delete the contents of my FG_files folder?

qcbandits 05-30-2018 02:24 PM

I'm planning on piggybacking off this mod and trying to finish off the entire default OOTP extended Universe. This will be a long term project as there are obviously many leagues to go through.
