This is something that I would like to do. How do you handle the rosters and minors. do you use fictional fill ins? The farm system did not start until the 20's, so how do you handle that?

I didn't really do much with it, I wasn't aiming to make it super realistic/accurate I didn't have the time for that so I think I just did whatever the default was, however I added triple A throughout but it wasn't used early on

How long did that take to play through?

Did you just basically choose 1871 Historical League and leave all settings at default and then click autoplay? So you were not in a GM role throughout the whole historical 'campaign?'
