That piping around the neck is distinctive of the Phillies 1946 season. It was dropped for the 1947 regular season, so perhaps this photo is from 1947 Spring Training and the new uniform was unveiled on Opening Day. The Phillies have done this (new uniform unveiling on Opening Day) a couple of other times in their history (1950 and 1992).

Nice photo! Thank You!!. Hisle would later become a two-time A.L. all-star and an American League RBI champion with the Minnesota Twins (1977)..

Does anybody have any photos of George Thomas of the 1971 Minnesota Twins?

Here are three options...

Brian Snyder A's 1989

1 Attachment(s)
Brian Snyder was a left-hander out of Flemington, New Jersey (famous for Flemington Furs, which I often saw advertised when rding on Route 22 from New York to Philadelphia). After bouncing around with a couple of organizations he finally got a major league shot with the Mariners in 1985. The M's staff was wracked by injuries that year, and they wound up using 21 pitchers. Snyder got into 17 games, six of them starts, and went 1-2, 6.37 with 1 save in just over 35 innings. He surfaced again with the juicy 1989 A's, getting less than an inning of ML work before disappearing forever. He made the '86 Topps set with Seattle but until recently the only major league image of him with Oakland was a tiny, blurred glimpse in the back row of a team photo. The attached shot is black and white and not terribly big, but the quality is quite good. I found it on a page devoted to major leaguers from Clemson University.

I should've mentioned that I kinda wanted to stick with TOPPS Vault images but I appreciate guys' efforts.

Also, does anybody have a Topps Vault image of Chuck Harrison of the 1971 Royals, too?

Thanks a million to everybody!

There are two images of this guy in the newest Ebay listings from the Vault. Both are identified as Sid Monge, whom he clearly isn't. I'm thinking Mike Overy. Yes?
