Does AI trade in Online leagues?

The question is simple. I have not been in a league yet but I wanted to know if you can trade with AI? Also does AI trade with each other?

i don't know but if you wanna join a league i know one with a couple of spot open we are just before regular season

I recently started an online league with my brother. We each control a team with the rest of the NHL managed by AI.

Is it possible to trade with the AI or do all trades have to go through the commissioner?
