Asahi2 - Grand Championship Preview

The following preview was written by the Asahi2's team representative.

Asahi2 has been around since 2004 and has played over 60 seasons of simulation baseball during that time. Our league is historical in nature now drawing on players who debuted prior to the start of our league. As a result we now play with a random debut database of guys from the 1880's through the 1940's, but also we mix in the most recent draft classes. Recent drafts have revealed Bryce Harper, Bob Feller and Josh Gibson. We pride ourselves on great owner involvement and activity, and many guys believe winning a title in Asahi2 is the pinnacle of their OOTP experience.

Opening Statement: The philosophy behind the Asahi2 team is defense 1st and offense 2nd, unless the offense is too good to pass up. The team also will have balance throughout the lineup with 4 lefites and 5 righties. Asahi2 spent almost 33% of their budget on 4 of their Starting Pitchers and their Closer. The hope is that defense and pitching help Asahi2 to the Grand Championship League Title!
