PBDL Moves to OOTP 15 - Promotion/Relegation League

Moved to OOTP 16

greenrebellion 07-20-2014 05:24 PM

We will be moving to OOTP 15 in the next week or so after the conclusion of the 2024 season. Join a league with staying power as we rapidly approach our 2 year real life anniversary in August and head into our 13th season! We have a few openings listed below due to the transition to OOTP 15...please email or PM me with any interest.

Colorado Avalanche - This team is pretty much as bad as it gets as it currently resides in 8th place in the Bronze League and represents a prime example of what happens when a team is inflicted by high GM turnover. The team desperately needs a stabilizing presence in the front office...someone that can rebuild a franchise from the bottom up. An above average prospect system as well as the recent signing of one of the best SS prospects the league has ever seen could go a long way in helping a new GM.

Washington Capitals - One of the more unsuccessful franchises in the league with only one Bronze League championship in its history. The team is a below average silver team, but with many expiring contracts a new GM will have plenty of financial flexibility to reshape the team to their own liking.

We have one confirmed opening in the PBDL as the 2025 season comes to a conclusion. Great time to get in as you'll be able to make contract extensions before the season concludes and get started just as the 2026 off-season gets underway.

San Jose Sharks
After a late season surge in 2024 led the Sharks to their first above .500 regular season since 2017, the team fell back in 2025 finishing in 8th place with a 32-52 record. This is one of only a handful of teams left in the PBDL that has yet to win a championship at any level and has spent much of its history in the Bronze League. A last place Bronze finish provides a great fit for someone who wants to climb the ladder from the bottom and gun for the ultimate turnaround. With many of the team's player contracts expiring and a strong positive cash balance to conclude the season, ample flexibility exists to reshape the team to a new GM's liking in short order.

Bump, still looking for San Jose GM.

First public opening we have had in well over six months. The Calgary Flames are currently available. We are currently very early in the off-season so a great time to get in and make your mark on the team. Email or PM with interest and note that we will be moving to OOTP 16 during the MLB all star break when the game usually goes half off.

Calgary Flames - The team has toiled near the bottom of Bronze for much of its existence. Over the past 12 seasons, they have managed to make the playoffs only once and have never managed to make an appearance in the Gold League. A pitching staff that could barely pass muster in AAA is much of the reason for the team's recent troubles and will need to be a primary focus of any new GM. The team has had a handful of top picks in the draft in recent years, but the team still struggles with a lower than average prospect pool. Not to worry, the team does have some top notch talent in their prime on the major league roster. Players like Brian Gaines and Ray Allen should provide great cornerstone pieces to build around.
