What happened to my hitters?

It's the 2022 season for the St. Louis River Walkers.
It's been two years without playoffs, and much of that has been due to a steady decline at the plate.
In the offseason, I hired Kozo Shoda as a hitting coach.
He came in with metrics of 101 (handle players), 101 (veterans), 100 (rookies) and teach hitting (143).
I allow myself to look at these ratings, considering them the sabermetrics of coaching ratings since nothing else other than "good", "neutral", etc., is really available.
Shoda was rated a good but has been downgraded to average.
I started the season 7-1, hit like crazy.
20 games in I was 14-6 and still in the top five in most categories.
Since than, I am 4-11, and have dropped to near the bottom of every team hitting category.
Most of the regulars have seen their average drop 30-points or more.
And if I put up three runs or more in a game, it's a moral victory.
I've been quick to fire the hitting coach in the past, is May 14 too quick for this one?

I have no idea how impactful the coaches are on stats in OOTP but I would say, yes, too quick. If in another couple of months the majority of your players are noticeably below their historic career numbers prior to this season, then maybe he gets the hook :)

What are your stadium stats? In my MLB game, Marlins stadium has turned many a .300 hitter, into a .220; and ruined the career of many a young prospect.
