Request for 32 team, 162 game balanced schedule
This is essentially what I'd like:
2 subleagues, 4 divisions, 4 teams 10 games versus every team in the subleague = 150 games 12 interleague games or 4 series of 3 games This would be a rotating schedule of 4 years to play each of the other divisions. Any help would be appreciated. Even if we could find a 162 game schedule in the format we have which was a balanced schedule, even interleague balance is fine. If something like that exists I cannot find it. |
That fits nicely into the current MLB scheme of 52 halfweeks for 162.
12 from 3 division teams in 4 series each (2H, 3H, 2A, 3A) 36 from 12 other league opponents in 3 series each (4H, 3A, 3A or 3H, 3H, 4A) 4 from 4 interdivision opponents in 1 series each (one 3H or one 3A) |
That’s what I was thinking too. Does this schedule exist already because I didn’t see it.

Hopefully I can get back over here tonight. Do have an earlier one I want to finish first.
Have any preference about where the interleague games go? I am figuring everybody playing interleague at the same time - want that all in one cluster of two weeks like mission, perhaps right before the All Star Game, or spread out with one at time four places in the schedule, or one week in first half and one week in second half, or ...? |

I went with a week of interleague games in both the middle of the first half and the second half. Division games are scattered about. Two versions below.
The first version is fine, but I got an idea to improvement the travel regime. The two are pretty similar, but for the second I was able to end up with fewer single-series homestands and roadtrips. |
