This playoff has had as much suspense as an episode of Mr Rogers Neighborhood.

The home team won two series and the road team won two. Last year, the road team took three of the four series.

So what am I supposed to watch the next two days now?? :(

I just noticed the wild card playoff games are available on mlb.tv. How long do I have to wait for them to be available?

They're supposed to be up 90 minutes after the end of the game (it says somewhere in the blurb there), but sometimes they're there sooner.

Am I crazy or was that Rangers-Orioles Game 2 scheduled for 6 Eastern previously?

It was always scheduled for 4:07 pm ET.

Seeing and hearing a lot of grumbling in regards to the best teams struggling in the post season. Lots of blame being put on the 5 days off the teams get before their series start. There used to be tons of grumbling over the one game wild card game as well. What do y'all think?

I definitely think (in this world of 3 wildcard teams) the wildcard series should start on the Monday instead of Tuesday, and the division series should start Thursday. That gives the two teams with byes more of an advantage, while still giving 3 off days. Puts more onus on getting one of those two byes during the regular season.


I assume they skip the Monday to avoid losing viewers to Monday Night Football.

Shorten the season to not conflict with the NFL and College Football. Go back to the old Division winners + wildcard format.

What it takes to win in the postseason is so much different than the regular season. In fact, I think it is more profound in baseball than any of the other major sports. You don't need as much depth in your starting pitching n the playoffs. & you actually deepen your bullpen by using your 4th & 5th starters as relievers. Being able to rest players is no longer an advantage cause no one is going to hold out their best for a day in the playoffs.

The only way to ensure the reg season champs advance is to take away the WC's. The reg season is a marathon. The playoffs are a series of sprints. I think that is a bigger factor than the half week layoff. I like the idea of giving the better record a win instead of an extra home game. That would make the regular season count more.
