I'm pruning LIVE players as fast as I can, which means some pretty weak players will be on my team for a while (I'm looking at you, Philip Humber!). I guess that's the fun of being an expansion team!

I believe there is a place where I tell Perfect Team that I want to be sorted into a league with friends. Is that the case? And if so, where is it?

My pitching staff is going to be bloody aweful. I hope I earn some points this weekend or I’ll be running with a 1901 style 4 man pitching staff.

Here's the latest list, snipped from the PT 2.0 screen. To use, just add in Luke_Gofannon - Port Ruppert Mundys to these names. Make sure you select "use friends list" in your preferences and make sure to submit your team. Also, sometimes you have to log out, or even restart for it to appear in your preferences. As long as you submit your team, it will show up.


I see the screen clipped of the end of Bottom_Of_The Sixth as well.


Let me know if there are any additions or changes needed. As I said before, if you have a team that is not quite ready, feel free to join anyway and start later. In fact, my Rustlers and Keepers won't be joining for at least a couple of weeks, due to time constraints. Just gonna let them run on AI with the starter players. I guess it'll be pretty embarrassing if they fly by the Mundys. :o

Screen Bug?
 

I just noticed that the screen in truncated in PT Universe. I put stlrs36, Asheboro Road Dogs, on my friends list, but I noticed they are not on the screen shot I posted earlier. The screen only shows 17 names at a time and does have a scroll function. Nor is there a page 2. Perhaps when we add a few more teams, a second page will be populated. I'll post this on the bug forum.

as long as everyone has added everyone else; if you're in the same tier, you should be in the same league.... if/when the list gets over 30 names, then it can be broken down by tier (like Orcin's mini-whale perfect/diamond leagues from v19)

ok, so there are lots of non compliant teams who find their way in then since this league could be slit across 2-3 tiers?

I e-mailed Bottom Of The Sixth (BOTS) the idea that we could run an Our League Bronze, Our League Silver, etc., providing there were at least enough teams (say four) to make it interesting. I have been compiling the standings, but I don't think the new function to check on other leagues allows for a team versus team report, which I would need to see for leagues that I don't have a team in. I'm sure we'll work out a way to get it done over the next few weeks.


Besides, the cool thing about BOTS idea is that the teams are really well matched on a competitive level and tend to congregate on the same level. With only about a half dozen teams in PT 19, I think we've only had one season where we couldn't run at least somewhat meaningful standings. The list is now up to 18 for 2.0, and, hopefully growing, so I think we'll do alright.

right.... unavoidable unless we manage to get 30 teams in the same level (and even then it's not always easy if just one member fails to update their friend's list accordingly)....

Not sure this is workable. I think I understand how it works based on Stanley's post. They do their own standings based on head to head unlike Orcins league which was a straight up PT with friends. This is something completely different.

Looks like you need to hit the settings gear in the MGR section of the tool bar to open the PROFILE & SETTINGS tab. The toggle the LEAGUE PLACEMENT SETTING in the right column to USE FRIENDS LIST.
