The A's are the only AL team out of the AL Central that wouldn't currently be in 1st place if they were in the AL Central. That includes the under .500 Mariners.

That's the drawback to a (mostly) balanced schedule and a multi-division league structure.

Somehow, the Reds have won 8 in a row, are above .500 and contending in a weak NL Central. Not betting on a playoff appearance, yet, but its been fun.

A lot of youth coming through.

It has been a fun week for me with youth driving the Reds and the USMNT beating Mexico and Canada handily, with an average age of 24 for players on the pitch! Bodes well for some sustained fun for the two teams I follow.

:)

Immunity for Astros not Manfred's best decision.

PGH? Ugh.

PGH sounds like the last gargle you make before your lunch leaves you threw the wrong exit.

I would have preferred something like "Steel City" on the front. But I bet somebody has a trademark on that. The numbers on the belt is a nice different. But I think it's a nice gift for local fans. You can wear that jersey to the Pirates or Steelers game.

Anyone play Immaculate Grid? I like that most of the time you can go obscure old ball player. I got 9/9 today with… well, the most obscure guy was the Red Sox WS champion but I had a couple players from the 70s and a couple from the 80s too…

Parodies are aplenty.

Why is it that when MLB sends teams around half the globe to play two games in front of the local natives, that one team loses two home games? How's that fair? Why not grab one home game from both teams?

They're still home games for the team in that it gets to bat second. I'm pretty sure MLB financially compensates the club so that it isn't losing revenue it might have otherwise made at its regular park.

Alternate site parks have happened before. Retrosheet has a list of such games.

Balls thrown 100+ shouldn't change direction. Ain't fair.

Geez, this is a softball game played in zero gravity.

These two games cost St. Louis about 80k in attendance. That's a LOT of tickets.
