I haven't honestly really gone back to it fairly recently, for various reasons, in truth. But I definitely do fully intend to somehow be able enough to resume playing it in the future. However, many unexpected things have, no doubt, actually come up here for me and others around me ever since I last played my Slaabovian leagues for enough time and in-depth enough, of course, EC. Life doesn't always go as planned or expected, you know.

No, you absolutely did NOT waste your valuable time, in any case, for sure. It's just that certain things, some that were and have been quite unexpected, perhaps, actually have happened, and all, for me and other people in my life. And I most likely set it or the other similar dynasties, for instance, aside for a while, in order to attend to those various other things in my life, you see. Maybe once I am finally able to get Lighting Up the Darkness done, for instance, if I ever do, then maybe I can be able to get back more to the SRL or similar other leagues based in and around Slaabovia, for example.

I don't know just how long this particular dynasty will hold my interest sufficiently well yet, of course, but it hopefully will hold it enough for at least a little while, whenever I play OOTP 22. The other OOTP and/or FHM dynasties I have are in previous versions, and I don't actually intend to forget getting back to them, if I can possibly avoid doing so long-term. But it may take a while to get back to them all enough, depending on just how certain things go with various other interests or projects of mine, for instance, in my life. Not to mention, first and foremost the need to get to know the Lord and His ways more than anything else in it, obviously, EC.

The most important thing for anyone to ever do in this life is to get to know the Lord and His ways, and then to live by them as best as possible, and all, for as long as possible in this world of ours, for sure. Once they have come to accept the Lord into their lives, and accept what He did for us all, and His free gift to humanity that nobody ever has to work for to get, that is, you know. Everything else pales mightily in real importance to those things in this world of ours, even sports, for instance, as you know, EC. CD out.

There are only five teams that actually need logos of the 64 present teams for this particular dynasty at this time. And each league mentioned above here, along with each of their respective subleagues, and also the overall association, just needs certain logos as well for itself. I can certainly make the related All-Star uniforms and caps for each relevant overall league's subleagues, as I've done that sort of thing in the past for at least one league, for sure, if not more than one.

All I'd basically need here are suitable enough team and league and subleague and association-related logos as evidenced at least in part by the screenshots above. All teams have caps and uniforms already made for them, just so you know. Many of them were created by other fine designers here, in fact.

People like Low, txranger, and various others, to name a few, actually. Other teams will feature my own work here, of course, but many of them will certainly not do so here.

Are there any teams you might be interested in following of the teams shown in the above screenshots? If so, please feel free to let me know, if and when you like, EC.

By the way, jg2977, there is a Hartford team here in the mix, just so you know. Specifically, the Hartford Dark Blues, as a matter of fact. If you want me to often keep you posted on them, please let me know, if and when you like and can.

As for right now, my current team in this new dynasty is the St. Peter Saints, featuring the fine work of Lawn Loaf. We had the most stolen bases I've ever seen from one team in a season for ourselves, a grand total of 645 stolen bases, all told, I believe. And the highest total of runs scored in one game by both teams in this dynasty for the 1871 season was 72, I believe, with one game ending with a score of 50-22, if memory serves me correctly enough here. Our own season's high for runs scored in a game was 44, as well.

Unfortunately, playing in the 19th Century often has teams with double-digit numbers of errors in a game, which of course often means very high-scoring games for various teams. Many games had scores more like those of many football games, actually. I suppose that will continue to often be the case here until a lot more pitching gets into the related leagues here, of course.

Please stay tuned for a possible new dynasty thread here, folks, especially EC and jg2977, right after I finally complete writing up the next chapter of my main story, I expect. I'm hoping to get it done as soon as I can, but I probably have at least another ten to twenty pages left to write for it, before I can complete it well enough, and prepare to write chapter sixteen for it.

Talk more later, as time permits and all, I'm sure, EC and jg2977 and the rest of you. Lord willing and all, of course, you know, that is. Thank you all for your time and attention and all here, as usual and as always, as well. That's all for this post here, then, I think. CD out.

jg2977 08-14-2022 06:20 PM

Good luck on your dynasty. Hopefully it will keep you interested for quite a while. If you have a dynasty that you're invested in, like my IPA, all you will need is one to keep you interested for years.

Neat that there is a team in Hartford. You can give me updates on the Dark Blues as you see fit.

Clovidequano Dovatha 08-14-2022 08:58 PM

Also, the amount of free space that I might currently have available to me on a particular computer hard drive may actually be an important factor for me to consider at least a little bit, at certain times, too, you know, jg2977 and/or EC, at least. That's not to say that I've necessarily deleted certain previously-created dynasties of mine before, at least on this computer, of course. But I still have certainly deleted them before, at least once or twice, at least partly due to space concerns on at least one computer, if not more than one, for sure. CD out.

Eugene Church 08-17-2022 10:04 PM

What type of logo do you want for the Motley Misfits?

What other type logo is there other than circular and square?

In my opinion, it would be better if you deleted the non-circular and non-square from your request and just take what they do for you.

Clovidequano Dovatha 08-17-2022 10:44 PM

Logos perhaps similar to ones previously or currently used by any or all of the following teams, mainly, perhaps, for instance:

Lowell Spinners
West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx
Frisco Rough Riders
Southern Oregon Timberjacks
Midland Rockhounds
Mudville Nine
Fayetteville Woodpeckers
Daytona Tortugas
Quad Cities Bandits
Lexington Legends
Savannah Sand Gnats
Auburn Doubledays

Ideal looks would probably feature a mascot of some sort, whether it was humanoid or not in its nature, either swinging a bat or pitching, I think. Or a shield of some sort with appropriate imagery much like you periodically might see on the main logo or logos for your IPA's Sligo Rovers, for instance, or much like the State of Israel's coat of arms, for another example here of what I'm perhaps thinking here. Just so you know, EC. CD out.

The generic Misfits logo that I'm currently aware of here primarily uses purple and white on it with weird arcs on it near the top of the head. Here is the generic Misfits logo in question here from OOTP 18, in fact. And I'm not too keen on it, either, nor do I really like it all that much here, to be completely honest with you. Someone around here can almost certainly do a much better logo for that team nickname, whether generic or not here. That's if at least one such logo, if not more than one, hasn't already been done for everyone's potential later use here, somehow, I think, EC. CD out.

jg2977 08-18-2022 09:16 AM

I don't see anything wrong with that logo in particular. If for some reason nobody else makes a Misfits logo, you could use that one without issue.

Eugene Church 08-18-2022 10:46 AM

CD, so you want a logo with no circular border or square border.

I understand now.

What is your definition of "misfits"... what image would one use?... that is not an easy image to come up with.

Good luck I hope someone will create one for you.

Do you like these two images?

I cannot change the colors, but I could use them to make you a logo.

Sorry about the pixelation spots on the border of the second image... that's as good as I could clean it up.... still has some spots on the top border from 10 am to 3 pm.

I have always liked the team Joliet Green Giants.
I want to include them in my revised South Island League, so I reworked the primary and secondary logos... in my previous league they did not show up well in the game because they were too dark in color with poor contrast.

Many versions of caps and jerseys were done... many of them very good.

I reworked them and thought I would toss them into the mix.

No problem, if no one uses them... I like them.

They are simple... have good contrast... and will look good in the game.

Here are the Joliet Green Giants home and away jerseys... I thought the pinstripes looked nice on both... normally I use gray for the away jersey, but not this time... I wanted to keep the Green Giant colors.

Clovidequano Dovatha 08-18-2022 07:55 PM

I also did at least a few items for Joliet's Green Giants, as you know, EC. You may want to post your last two posts in your South Island thread, as well, I think. You probably posted the two most recent posts of yours above here by accident, but I think they should still remain here, as well, for that matter. I think I can use these items as well, at times, too, for Joliet.

As far as Misfits, perhaps something sort of peculiar or off-the-wall might work well, mascot-wise, or imagery-wise. Not necessarily like the rabbit or the joker, mind you, but something you might not normally see for many logos, imagery-wise, preferably using at least two, if not all, of the listed colors here for it or them. Just so you know, EC.

I am quite sure there are a lot of very imaginative and very creative designers here on the forums, ones who are much more adept at such things than either you or me here. While I generally prefer non-circular and non-square logos, of course, I'll still certainly consider gladly, and perhaps even also take, just what they might perhaps offer me here, for later potential use in my relevant dynasty or dynasties, most definitely. CD out.

Clovidequano Dovatha 08-18-2022 08:13 PM

I'm sort of partial to birds, dogs, and turtles, for instance, when it comes to animals. I'm quite familiar with Dobermanns and Whippets, as far as dogs my family and I have had in the past, on average. I like turtles at least a little bit too, and while nobody's likely ever generally been able to have cardinals, for example, as pets, I like birds too, to a degree.

As far as human-style mascots, maybe someone dressed in an unusual or eclectic manner would work well here, no matter what particular pose they might be shown in and no matter what they might be holding in their hands, I think, if anything at all. Just thinking here, at the moment, that's all, of course. CD out.

Eugene Church 08-18-2022 10:09 PM

CD, I posted Joliet here in this thread to share it with you and jg2977... also because you have designed jerseys for the team in the past... and I think both you and jg2977 use Joliet in your leagues, too.

Clovidequano Dovatha 08-18-2022 10:18 PM

Sure do, thanks for doing so. Really appreciate it, of course, you know, EC. By the way, I've been making a good deal of progress on writing Chapter 15 of Lighting Up the Darkness the past couple of days or so now, in truth. So maybe, if and when I get the chapter done well enough, at least in first-draft state, I'll be able to spend more time getting a new dynasty report thread up sooner. Lord willing and all, of course.

Especially if the teams and/or leagues that need logos done for them get them made soon enough, that is, based on the screenshots you've already seen related to the Forlchul Baseball Society, for instance. St. Peter gets to start off the 1872 regular season with St. Clair. I don't know if we'll have a chance to move up for the 1873 season just yet, of course, but, hopefully, we still will, somehow.

I'll share more about the relevant dynasty later, if and when possible, I'm sure. And if there are any teams in particular there that you'd actually like to learn more about, at any time, please don't be afraid to ask, you know. jg2977 is definitely interested in the Hartford Dark Blues, for instance here, in fact, EC. CD out.

jg2977 08-19-2022 08:28 AM

I like the Joliet Green Giants as well, but I want to keep my IPA at 64 teams for now. However, I will save these new uniforms and logos in case I do expand in the future.

Clovidequano Dovatha 08-20-2022 03:23 AM

Chapter 15 should hopefully be all typed up, I hope, by the end of the weekend, if weather permits and all, somehow. It's a real big one, for sure, already. A real whopper of a chapter, with quite a lot in it all, at this point, first draft-wise. It's going to require a lot of work on it later, I'm sure, by the time I'm to this story's final draft. Supposing that I ever get there well enough, Lord willing, of course, in any case. CD out.

Clovidequano Dovatha 08-21-2022 12:10 AM

Chapter 15 for Lighting Up the Darkness now appears to be essentially complete, at least in terms of it now being finished in at least a first-draft state of things here. And it is rather huge, in certain ways, compared to all the other chapters in the story so far, it seems. I am really looking forwards to writing chapter 16 as soon as I can, for sure, of course. CD out.

Clovidequano Dovatha 08-21-2022 11:10 AM

Note to myself, at least, just in case I accidentally somehow actually misplace or lose my notes elsewhere, as for other teams besides Motley listed above, in terms of preferred logo themes for certain teams of mine that already have caps and logos made for them all now:

Detroit Assemblers (AKA Assembly Liners): Primarily an automotive and/or industrial factory-related logo theme

Milwaukee Cyclers: Primarily a baseball and/or motorbike cyclists-related logo theme

San Diego Chefs: Primarily a cooking and/or cuisine-related logo theme

Baltimore Merchants: Primarily a commerce and/or finances-related logo theme

Arizona Canyoneers: Primarily a Southwestern United States and/or Grand Canyon-related logo theme

That is all. CD out.
