As a full time player with an interesting career stat line - and interesting bio (he was deaf) - I was expecting to see him among last year's Perfect Team additions. But I don't recall ever having come across a card of his.

Anyway, I'd love to see Hoy included in the 2027 set somewhere.

The team has looked into the situation, and have corrected an error on the backend that caused him to not give out those points. He has been fixed for future use. She has her own laptop and my question is can I install the game on hers with the same license I have for mine so she can play and see if it is something she would engage in long enough to get our moneys worth if I buy her a separate license?

To get drops, you can link your Perfect Team account to Twitch by going to https://pt27.ootpdevelopments.com/ and following the instructions to link your account. Then, when you watch these affiliates' streams LIVE, you can manually claim drops at 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes by going to the "Drops and Rewards" tab on Twitch! They will then shortly be added to your account.

I'd never really gotten into Perfect Team though, but have been playing it exclusively since the game released.


Thoughts:


The variety of players is awesome. Being able to have some random average catcher from 1955 or even 1928, while still having modern players is really fun.

The interface/menus are terrible. Trying to figure out how to build rosters, how to activate players you've purchased that go to the wrong place, saving rosters for tournaments --- just a few things that have been incredibly difficult to learn, despite playing OOTP for 25+ years. With so many "Ultimate Team" modes in so many different games, there's just better ways to handle collections/menus/rosters. It's very clunky in my opinion.


Perfect Drafts are fantastic and super addicting, and I love that they are free and allow anyone to build a strong roster.


The 30 minute sims and basically 1 week seasons for the normal Perfect Team league part is really fun too, and seems like a great balance. But the rewards are pretty bad, at least in the low levels.


Despite winning the Iron League Championship I got placed into, I barely got any rewards. A few thousand PP and no packs, for winning essentially the World Series.

I assume the rewards improve as my team moves up levels, but to not even get a single pack even at the lowest level despite winning the championship was disappointing, especially when I'm not going to buy packs. It takes away from the win if the reward isn't worth it. If the only rewarding aspect is playing the 16 team perfect drafts to try and get 3 basically empty packs, it's hard to see the draw for 7+ months.

I'm having a good time, and am glad I tried it out, but would really love to see a much improved UI that is more friendly to new users, and think the rewards at least in the lower levels should be improved to keep people interested beyond the first week of the season.
