Perfect days

Do you have them? I do, and yesterday was one.
Mrs. Cobb had a routine doctor's appointment in the early morning. We stopped at our favorite bakery (Goodales in Grayling—best donuts in the North!) and grabbed a couple cream cheese donuts and raced to the doctor's office in nearby Roscommon. All was well there.
Afterwards, we decided to take up one of our ancient traditions, the ramble. We just drove. A 60 degree day in February is not a thing to be wasted indoors. We ended up in Mount Pleasant, home of Central Michigan University, and stumbled onto a Korean restaurant a little off the main drag...Jib-Bob. This has to be one of the best lunches I ever had!
Our hostess was the owner, a very nice and chatty (in the good way) person. She grows many of her own exotic vegetables for the restaurant. We both got different varieties of dumpling and ginger tea. Masha got the squid stir-fry, I the shrimp. I asked for the hottest they had. I was rewarded with a dish I'll not soon forget! It fairly seethed with fire, and yet the heat never overwhelmed the milder flavors. What a joy! Masha isn't as brave as I, she got medium hot and hers was right to her taste as well. The ginger tea...amazing. Sweet, yet nippy on the way down. There's some nice decor there, and they're apparently a WIP. It's not the cheapest place, but it's a bargain! We liked our food so much we got a take-out for Damian and Chelsey (my youngest and his girlfriend).
On our traveling time, we had the mp3 stick going quietly in the background and talked endlessly, as old married folk do. Yesterday was a simple blessing, one of the reminders of what a reward I was given when I survived my cancer.
Life is good! May you all have a day that great.
