1940s replay, morphs into a Ted Williams years replay

I decided on a replay of the 1940s, because I was interested in the war years. In 1943 there were less than a 1000 homers for the first time in two decades. So I have TWO main replay ideas. First, an historical line up replay.

Then, as I played my first game of 1940, Boston at Washington, I noticed (was reminded) that Williams was a rookie in 1939, so why not start over in 1939. Then the idea came, why not do as historic a replay as possible without players, including Williams, missing...
