Here you will be able to follow the baseball history as it happen in real life via OOTP12. So expect nothing fictional as I use the real leagues and team rooster as they were (except for the line-up). The only real element of surprise is the injury factor and of course the OOTP factor.

Hope you will enjoy and don't hesitate to comment on special event that happen in those years (as we have real expert here it's a good way to learn about the baseball past history).

With no real surpriseChicago is the league champion of this first season. They dominate from day one with a very strong rooster including Al Spalding, Deacon White, Cap Anson, Ross Barnes, John P. Peters, Cal McVey, Paul Hines, John W. Glenn, Fred Andrus and Bob Addy.

The ROTY is my selection. The NL being a new league all the players were rookies and I prefer to have a real one and not one who did play in the National Association previously.

At the end of the season Philadelphia and New York were expelled from the league as they did refuse to follow the schedule when they fell behind on the standing. This is sure a proof of how the league integrity is more serious that it was back in the National Association.
