Bunker Hill 6, Troy 3 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

Posted 06-21-2010 at 11:20 PM by hopeful1212

Nice easy win. LF Riley Gram is still on fire and might end up with the player of the week award. He drove in our first run in the 1st with a double and another in the 5th with a solo HR. 1B Steven Lewis also added a solo HR, his second HR in two games. Looks like our offense might finally be out of the funk it was in.

Enjoying this version of ootp way more than 10. Minor leagues are easier to keep track of. In 10 I would just lose track of players.

Troy 4, Bunker Hill 3 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

Tough loss in 10. We tied it up in the 9th on a two-run HR from 1B Steven Lewis (his 11th HR of the year) to force extras, but Troy got the best of it. 1B Ken Wallace drove in the winning run for Troy with a walk-off single. He also drove in runs in the 6th and 8th with singles. We could have done without him today!

Bunker Hill 7, Bethalto 3 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

Posted 06-20-2010 at 10:28 PM by hopeful1212

Our offense looked good in this one. LF Riley Gram terrorized Bethalto for a second straight day. He went 3-for-5 and had a big 3-run HR in the 3rd that put us up 5-0. Jeffery Garner had a nice start for us, pitching into the 9th, but ran out of steam. Bethalto got a couple in the 9th and left the bases loaded to end the game.
