Cleveland changed their name from the Infants to the Trolleys during the offseason, but the results were the same as the Trolleys won their second straight World Series.

The Trolleys finished a remarkable 123-79 during the regular season to finish 15 games up on the second place Browns. While the Trolleys were aided by the addition of four expansion teams, the Trolleys proved no match for their division.

Five players drove in 100 or more runs. Six players scored 100 or more runs. As a team the Trolleys hit .334, tops in the league. Hughie Jennings hit .403 and added 168 RBI. Mike Trost walked 110 times and scored 131 runs. Ed Delahanty hit .381 and drove in 148 runs.

It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't have the best ERA in the league as well, at 3.00. The Trolleys outscored opponents 1341-711. Jersey Bakely won 41 games, which was second best on the team to teammate Charlie Hodnett, who won 42. Red Ehret brought up the rear of the rotation with 41 games.

Their dominance continued in the World Series, as they knocked off the Washington Capitals, who won 96 games in the regular season, 4 games to 1.

A look at their team leaders:
