Here you will be able to follow the baseball history as it happen in real life via OOTP12. So expect nothing fictional as I use the real leagues and team rooster as they were (except for the line-up). The only real element of surprise is the injury factor and of course the OOTP factor.

Hope you will enjoy and don't hesitate to comment on special event that happen in those years (as we have real expert here it's a good way to learn about the baseball past history).

The last day of two other one

Today after the game against St. Louis (SLR) and Washington it was announced that it was their last one as the two opponents are unable to maintain their activity. So to honour them this is the box score of their final game.

Against it was a failure for the city of Washington (how many chances a city can get?) and two teams was too much for St. Louis.

Some Washington...

Now it's Keokuk

Posted 08-02-2011 at 02:48 PM by AESP_pres (A simulation from 1871 to ?)

Another case of a city to little to compete with the big market of the association. In 13 games Keokuk won only 3 times.

Billy Barnie (NYU), Mike Golden (CHI), Jimmy Hallinan (NYU), Charley Jones (HAR), Joe W. Miller (CHI), Paddy Quinn (CHI) were able to sign with a new team.

The end of 74

Posted 08-02-2011 at 01:24 PM by AESP_pres (A simulation from 1871 to ?)

The league will expend in a big way next season as the league will almost double its size with 5 new teams.

Washington will get another chance to demonstrate its viability as a baseball market.

Philadelphia will get a third team in anticipation of the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
