Bunker Hill 4, Lebanon 2 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

We're rolling now. We've won 13 of our last 18 games. SP Paul Meyer took the hill for us and pitched well over 6.2 innings for the win. SS Mark Goodwin hit his first professional HR, a solo shot in the 2nd. The bullpen had another excellent outing (2.1 IP, 0 ER, 4 K). We need to win just 1 of our next 3 games to finish the half at .500.

Bunker Hill 7, Lebanon 6 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

With this win, we're at .500 for the first time since the season started. 2B Cliff Beard drove in the first 3 runs of the game with a HR in the 1st and we added a couple more. But Lebanon started pecking away and eventually took the lead 6-5 in the 5th. PH Darrell Evans drove in two in the 9th with a 1-out single to give us the lead for good.

Bunker Hill 7, Valmeyer 1 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

Our offense showed up again today. We scored 3 in the 3rd by stringing some hits together and 4 in the 9th on a pair of HRs. 2B Cliff Beard and 3B Russel McDonald both had two-run shots in the inning. SP Cliff Sanders had a good outing (5.2 IP, 1 ER). He left with the bases loaded in the 6th, but the bullpen was able to bail him out.

Valmeyer 5, Bunker Hill 4 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

We could have used a few of yesterday's runs today. It was a close back-and-forth contest, but Valmeyer came away with the win. SP Matt Morgan (7 IP, 2 ER) had a solid outing for the Vampires and LF Patrick Lee delivered the big hit: a two-out walk-off single in the 9th. We'll try for the rubber game tomorrow.
