The most important ballgame of the year saw both contestants go up and down on the scoreboard. Boston picked up the lead in the 1st inning when Charlie Pabor was hit by a pitch and two singles by Dick Higham and Jack Manning drove him in. After that devastating performance in WS game 4, I decided, the players who delivered this desaster would have to put it right in the last home game of this year's world series. They'd have to prove our home fans that they can do better, so again, I didn't make any changes to the lineup.
