Valmeyer 6, Bunker Hill 2 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

Valmeyer had guys all over the place. 1B Rob Higgins was 4-for-5 with a HR, C Mitchell King was also 4-for-5. All together the Vampires had 16 hits. I guess we should feel lucky that they only scored in one inning. Still it was enough to get us as we really didn't get much going offensively. Grafton won again (7 in a row) so we're now at 5 GB.

Nice shutout. Skip Farr was sharp on the mound for us today, allowing just 2 hits in his second shutout of the season. On offense we're still struggling getting guys home. We left the bases loaded twice today and 9 on base for the whole game. At least we're getting some hits though. Elsewhere, Grafton won again so we're still at 4 games back.

Troy 4, Bunker Hill 1 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

We just couldn't get any big hits with men on base. We left 11 on in this game. For the Trojans, SP Skip Wells got the win, hurling 6 shutout innings. 3B Rich McKenzie and SS Andy Duncan led their attack, going 2-for-4 and 3-for-4, respectively. Grafton won again so we're 4 games back with 11 to play. We're probably toast.
