Blue Claw's Strike Early, Rea Cruises In Win.
The Blue Claw's get back to winning, playing good ball tonight.
The Claw's worked on the struggling Rattlesnake SP Bob McDowell right out of the gate tonight in the 1st game of the series.
McCarthy hit his 17th HR in the bottom of the 1st, a quick triple by Ferrer and a single by Terry put them up 2 - 0 at the end of 1.
In the bottom of the 2nd, the Claws got single's from Amador , Martinez and Murray and combined with a throwing error, scored 2 more times.
Claw's SP Robbie Rea pitched well enough to get the win.
He did what he has to do to be successful, that's keeping the ball down in the zone, creating ground balls and letting the defense make the plays behind him.
His ground balls produce 2 double plays and had the Rattlesnakes pounding the balls in the dirt a total of 10 times.
Claw's Reliever Marvin Simpson has his 2nd consecutive good outing. That's a nice sign for the struggling pitcher. Let's hope for a complete turnaround.
The Rattlesnake's All-star right fielder , Joey Butler continue his hitting streak tonight running it to 23 games. He got the base knock out of the way early by singling in the top half of the 1st.

League News and Notes:
Trading around the league seems to be in fashion as we had another small trade last night.
Trade News:
Oklahoma City Tornado Send :
RF - Wayne "Rich Man" Royce , 27 yr old, 34/44 ML
Lowcountry Gators Send :
SP Jorge Oliva (RHP) 23 yr old, 46/49 AAA
Trade Reaction :
Oliva looks to be maybe 4 , but more then likely a 5th starter. He's currently in AAA pitching fairly well, his BB/K looks good at the point.
Royce is a 4th outfielder with a good glove and can hit pretty well against lefties, although his just a singles type hitter.
Nither of the two teams are going anywhere this season so I give the advantage to Oklahoma for at least getting a prospect out of the deal in Oliva.
