This was pretty much a bullpen game for us. Our starter got ejected in the 2nd inning for hitting a batter (after the previous batter homered). The bullpen kept it pretty close until the 8th, but Lebanon's hit attack was too much. LF Bill Davis led the Snow Monster's offense with 3 hits including a HR in the 8th. Last game of the 1st half tomorrow.

We broke our losing streak and return to .500 (24-24). Cliff Sanders took the hill for us and was excellent, allowing no runs in 8 2/3 innings. 1B Steven Lewis put us on the board with a solo HR in the 4th and Sanders added the second run with a 2-out RBI single in the 5th. Overall, a nice win, although are bats were pretty silent.

Greinke's out hurt, so Callaspo's the Royals representative. Seattle has three starting pitchers in there... didn't notice that until now.

Brandon Webb's healthy... that's different. Probably the one that most stands out is Flores for Washington... you'd think Zimmerman would make it instead.

OK, I guess Cliff Pennington as an All-Star is pretty surprising, too.

Very lopsided loss. That's 5 losses in a row for us. Gordon Peterson pitched a great game for Trenton, holding us to only 1 hit: RF Darrell Evans' double in the 2nd. Meanwhile, their offense was on fire. 1B Tom Schultz hit a 2-run HR for them in the 7th to make it 4-0 and then delivered a 2-run double in the 8th to cap their 5 run inning.

We dropped our 4th in a row and are back to .500 (23-23). Starter Bob Wilson was strong for Trenton, going 8 innings and only giving up a solo HR to SS Russell McDonald. We brought the tying run up to bat in the 9th, but PH Darrell Evans struck out to end the game. I know we're out of it, but let's try for a winning record, guys!
