Bunker Hill 7, Grafton 4 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

We finished the first half with a win in extra innings. We took the lead in the 10th on a wild pitch and CF Doug Blanchard added two more runs with a double. RF Craig Clark led our offense with 4 hits in 6 at-bats. Our offense has been much improved over the last 20 games or so. Let's hope we keep hitting in the 2nd half.

We picked up our 25th win, guaranteeing that we won't finish the 1st half under .500. SP Cliff Sanders went the distance for us, striking out 3 and walking 1. LF Spencer Flynn drove in two in the 7th with a two-out single. CF Doug Blanchard drove into an insurance run with 2-outs in the 8th. He also stole two bases.

Grafton 3, Bunker Hill 2 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

We got off to an early lead and held it for most of the game, but things starting falling apart late. 1B Adam Flannery put Grafton on the board with a solo shot in the 7th and PH Ed Kramer doubled in another to tie it. Gafton won it in the 9th on SS Arnold Bennett's sac fly. The runner that scored had reached on an error.

Bunker Hill 4, Lebanon 2 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

We're rolling now. We've won 13 of our last 18 games. SP Paul Meyer took the hill for us and pitched well over 6.2 innings for the win. SS Mark Goodwin hit his first professional HR, a solo shot in the 2nd. The bullpen had another excellent outing (2.1 IP, 0 ER, 4 K). We need to win just 1 of our next 3 games to finish the half at .500.

Bunker Hill 7, Lebanon 6 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

With this win, we're at .500 for the first time since the season started. 2B Cliff Beard drove in the first 3 runs of the game with a HR in the 1st and we added a couple more. But Lebanon started pecking away and eventually took the lead 6-5 in the 5th. PH Darrell Evans drove in two in the 9th with a 1-out single to give us the lead for good.
