Historical Fiction #2: Brooklyn Atlantics Inaugural Draft

Note: I will be managing teams in this game and acting as commissioner. This is a fictional historical league. Fictional players will play alongside historical players whose careers in the game may be very different to what they were in real life. I will start as general manager of Brooklyn Atlantics and may change teams from time to time. All games will be simmed.
The Brooklyn Atlantics have hired Johnny Barnes as their general manager. Mr. Barnes's first task was to draft a team at the Major League inaugural draft. Here are the Brooklyn draft selections.

This 26 year old is one of the league's best pitchers.

While other teams selected position players in the second round Brooklyn added to their pitching staff with this pick.

A good catcher with some power to his swing.

An 18 year old 3B who can also play at catcher. One of baseball's best batting prospects.

A decent fielder at SS and RF with good power.

A 30 year old with good gap power.
