1904 Hall of Fame Voting

Only three new players appeared on the 1904 Hall of Fame ballot.
Jack Lynch won five Cy Young Awards for Detroit over a 10 year span. Overall, he won 239 games over his 16 year career. He led the leage in WAR six times.
Dupee Shaw was a three time Cy Young winner in Chicago. He led the league in wins four times en route to 233 in his career.
Monte Ward was a five-time All Star and a two-time Gold Glove who spent most of his 20 year career with Louisville.
They were joined by 11 players who were returning from last year:
Bob Black
George Bradley
Bob Emslie
Jack Glasscock
Fred Goldsmith
Ed Morris
Frank Mountain
Tony Mullane
Abner Powell
Will White
Ned Williamson
Jack Lynch and Dupee Shaw both ended up being first ballot inductees, both earning more than 90% of the vote. Bob Emslie was also inducted, earning 78.1% of the vote. Bob Black, Ned Williamson, and Ed Morris all failed to get the necessary 5% to stay on next year’s ballot.
