I have always wondered what would have happen had the Red Sox not traded Babe Ruth away. Would the Sox have become a similar dynasty to what the Yankees became? What would have happened to the Expos teams that had to get rid of their talent because they couldn't afford them with their budget? Well I decided to rewrite baseball history, I decided to replay Major League Baseball from 1901 and not let any team make a move. No trades, no free agency, and no cutting players only to be picked up by other teams. I will try to post a year by year breakdown of what transactions would have taken place but didn't in my league as well as what happened in the Collusion League compared to what happened in the real history of the MLB. Hope you enjoy. Look for the 1901 season recap soon.
