It looked like that would be the case as the sign-ups stopped being grayed out but when I tried to join a new tourney it said my max was three, so I wasn’t yet free. Maybe I need to withdraw formally to truly be free. I will try again after work (and after The Mandolorian!) but glad the intent is not to tie up the teams. Thanks for confirming.
