My first save I went to about 2085 then it crashed and I didn't back it up past 2079. Currently in one in the year 2055.

Every new version I'll have about 5 saves that go between 1-5 years before I find a flaw with them. Despite that, I'll always get one save that goes between 50-60 years once all the settings are aligned to my liking. I can sim a season in about 2 hours by not playing out games and just focusing on transactions.
My pipe-dream is to someday maintain a 100 year season so I can think about the history, players, and teams, while I go to sleep for the night. I still do that now, but having 100 years of history to mull through will shut me down faster than 50 years of history lol

I started OOTP XX with LAD and have stuck with them for 40 seasons now. My coach is 98 years old!

I got hooked on the big budget and have managed to build a powerhouse because of it but thinking about playing a smaller market/budget team next time around.

You need time to get a feel for the team, watch some prospects come up, see how your big ticket FA's work out, and see how your pitchers develop. It's a wonderful game in so many ways.

In terms of seasons, what is your longest-running save? And what are some of the coolest things you've seen when you go deep into the future?
In 19, I went into 2045 as the Angels. The notable things about that save...

Trout hit like 900 HR and played until 45 (and was good most of those years).

Ohtani wasn't the only two-way player. The Rockies developed a fictional SP/1B that was every bit as good.

Speaking of Ohtani, eventually he declined as a hitter and I made him a pitcher only for the last few years of his career. He retired at 36.

For whatever reason, 27% of the players in MLB/MiLB were Japanese. I called it the "Japanese Invasion". Players were getting posted frequently.

I had a player with a career .490 OBP.

There was a HoF pitcher who never made the All-Star game, won a WS, won Cy Young, or won MVP. Yet he had a career 2.83 ERA as a SP.

One pitcher torn his rotator cuff three times. His stuff went from 70 to 25. He kept pitching with his 3 K/9 (literally) and made the Hall of Fame with 310 wins.

I carried over, but I got invested into another save. I'll carry it into 21 as well.

Just finished 1871-2018.
I save the league at three points for every season.
This is the total storage it took up.
