Fan Interest Bug?

Is anyone else having problems with Fan Interest? Is this a bug?

I imported my historical Challenge Mode save (NY Mets) from 24 to 25 and the Fan Interest immediately dropped about 20 points, despite me being the defending WS champion.

There's nothing I can do to raise it. I traded for nationally, "Extremely Popular," ranked players and it didn't budge. The Fan Interest didn't even move after I won my second straight WS and was stuck at 68.

At least it was 68. After the latest patch (and a month of in-game playing) my fan interest has now dropped to 66 and I can't figure out why. No transactions at all and I've been in first place in my division by at least 3 games with the second best record overall in MLB.

It would be a minor annoyance except that my owner wants me to raise my Fan Interest and my attendance. I don't need to tell anyone reading this that I can't raise my attendance if I can't raise my Fan Interest.

These two points are so important to my owner that after winning that 2nd straight WS I was only offered a 1 year contract. I fear that even if I win a 3rd straight WS I could get fired.

I wish I never started this save in Challenge Mode. And there isn't any way to turn that off, is there?

Is anyone else having these types of Fan Interest problems? It's very frustrating.

Yes Absolutely!

I can take my team from ootp24 import it to ootp25 my fan interest craters and my finances are all screwed. The fan interest should import directly over from 24 to 25 not crater for absolutely zero reason thus kneecapping teams.

We made some changes here on the last patch, so you'll first of all want to make sure you've updated to that.

If you are on that patch and are seeing this there, just let us know and we can take another look.

Some of the calculations for when you add or lose popular players are not as aggressive as they were in 24. If your fan interest was relying too much on those temporary boosts from bringing in popular players it may come in differently than before.

I'm on the latest patch with an imported 24 to 25 file and am having the same issues. I just simmed through my first trade deadline and only one acquisition altered fan interest. Very few did in the off-season leading into this first season. What's more, fan interest "improving significantly" per an in-game note only ticked it up one.

I get that it was too easy before and supported making it more realistic, but fan interest now has only led to a net gain of 8 points since I took on the team last off-season, despite us going from league-worst to first (as of August 1).

New OS, I just acquired a player and got the "increased significantly" in-game mail. FI was 85 before the trade and is still 85 after.

The FI hasn't budged despite numerous player acquisitions. It seems stuck.

Seeing this is an issue in online leagues on the latest patch - works both directions. It just seems like it doesn't move AT ALL when there's player movement. I understand trying to diminish "gaming" fan interest but it seems like it was nuked entirely which is unrealistic.

I have a team that I can see on team settings page has a 67 fan interest, 93 modifier on OOTP 24 Immediately after winning championship series convert to 25. On first sim, Acquired extremely Popular player, bumped to 95 Modifier. No other changes. Said I would keep an eye out. Now are roughly a month into offseason since the move, acquired another Extremely Popular player. Modifier bump to 97. Still a 67 fan interest.

On team finances screen, showing a 75, needle hasn't moved since move to 25. (On 24 has showing 100.) Also will note they have raised their ticket prices from $23.34 to $30.00 as of 12/25 (before tickets are being sold)

As noted, the changes are more gradual than before. Not every popular player signing will move the fan interest for your team as much as it did before.
