New Twitch Drops System Starts Monday 10/23/23

Hello everyone,
We hope you’re all doing well and enjoying Perfect Team and the fun cards that have been released recently. We have an announcement about Twitch Drops since Twitch has changed the system again.

***Please keep in mind that you do not have to change anything about your Twitch or PT accounts in order to get drops under the new system.***

We are running a test of this system today (Saturday) with our affiliates, so you will see extra drops while you watch streams.

Beginning Monday, you will get drops while watching affiliates and the official channel, but things will look different. The clock will be continuous for all five drops. You will get a drop after 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes. Twitch doesn’t have a setting for 75 minutes, so the fifth drop will be after 90.

You will have to click the “Claim Now” button to get that drop. However, unlike the previous campaign setup, the clock will keep running for the next drop. If you have to step away, the clock is running on all five drops at the same time.

The other major difference is that campaigns will be daily and no longer weekly. That just creates more work for me, but you should see a clean process. This is a screenshot of what it will look like under the new system.

I saw the campaign running, but I only got 2 drops from it on my Cleveland Locomotives team and I was connected long enough to get them all. Even if I was accidentally disconnected somehow, I don't see the campaign anymore, so I can't continue with a different streamer?

Better run the test again tomorrow.

There was a TEST on Saturday where if you were connected you got 5 drops from the test, besides the "normal" 5. I only got two from the test, although my twitch page says I claimed 5 from the test. Test failed in my case.

I also only got 2 packs today, though I was on Twitch for 90 minutes. Might it be because I clicked on 15 min. first, then 90 min., then 30 min., then 45 min., then 60 min.? I'll click them in order tomorrow and see what happens...

I only got 3 yesterday, but the other 2 just showed up, ~18 hours later!

We have investigated the situation with the new Twitch Drops system and we think we found a fix of things on our end. Those of you who missed out on drops yesterday should see them today. Thank you for your patience and thanks to those of you who messaged me your experiences through this. That information is very valuable to help us investigate these kind of things.

Drops still not working for me. I have 13 unclaimed drops on my Twitch inventory screen and whenever I click claim on any of them I get a message saying "Error Occurred, Drop not claimed." I have tried closing the browser window. Logging out and in. Nothing works.

Then that's an issue on Twitch's end, and you'd need to talk to them about it.

I have beeen getting my drops ok until EMLB with FKNCommishLB tonight.

1. Do you have to be a member of EMLB or is anyone eligible?

2. If I need to contact Twitch how/who do I need to contact at twitch (maybe a name and/or link)

EDIT: OK everybody seems to be having problems and Commish has sent something to OOTP

The drops on eMLB should be working now.

eMLB drops were working last night. However, to claim the first one I had to refresh the claims page. Before that, clicking "claim" was not working. After that, all of the claims worked.

I've been having problems with Twitch drops since the new system was put in place. I get progress for 2-3 minutes, then no progress for 15-30. This has happened constantly, whether watching the OOTP Dev or affiliate streams. I watched most of the eMLB stream and only received 1 or 2 drops.

Right now, I am watching the OOTP Dev stream. I started watching around 30 minutes in. At 63 minutes in, I have not completed any of the drops, showing 13% of 15 minutes for the first one.

I experienced this too. I decided that checking progress stopped progress and found out that logging out and logging back in would resume progress.

Yep, having that problem as well. Gonna try logging out and logging back in to see if things unscrew themselves. Everything was working fine on my end until this change. Companies like twitch changing things for the sake of change will confuse me to no end until I'm in my grave...yuck.

EDIT: The bailey method of logging out/logging back in seems to have worked for now. I will see if the progress on the drops remains consistent or if it stops mid-way and never starts up again.

EDIT #2: Same problem as the previous posters. Been watching DrDynastic for about 30 mins, and after fixing some issues just to get the meter rolling, it's only up to 26%. Feels like it chooses when to start or stop working, and I'm not about to keep logging out and logging back in every 5 minutes just to get it going again.

This is definitely a Twitch problem and not an OOTP problem.
