Canadian Baseball League - over 50 seasons of history but looking for a few new GMs!
The Canadian Baseball League's is looking for a few new GM's! The CBL has has been around for OVER 13 years (real time) and has simmed over 50 seasons.
We are wrapping up the 2055 season - a new GM can have a full offseason to plan the future of the team they are taking over. Full League Name (Initials): Canadian Baseball League (CBL) Main URL: CBL Portal Reports URL: BNN Home Page Boards URL: CBL Index page OOTP Version: 15 Game Needed: Required Players: Fictional # of Teams: 24 Export Deadlines Days And Times: 4 times a week, 10PM EST League Time Per Sim: 1 week First Season: 2002 Current Season: 2055 Available Teams: Winnipeg, Niagara, Edmonton, Regina, Ottawa. Winnipeg Warriors - Winnipeg is in solid shape coming off a 91-71 season winning the WL Great Lake division. Led by one of the most talented young players in the league in 26 year old Danny O'Farrell (who hit .340 with 47 home runs this year), a solid verteran in CF Ho Tam (who hit .307 with 34 home runs) and with a low payroll this team is on the verge of being a contender for years to come. Niagara Rapids - One of the most historic teams in CBL history with 15 Canada Cup victories, Niagara is finishing a re-build and finished 85-77 last year, 2nd in the EL Southern. Some great young arms in the starting rotation in 25 year old SP Guy Gagne and 23 year old SP Bruno Provencher. Plus the #2 minor league system in the CBL. Future Canada Cups are almost guaranteed for the Rapids. Edmonton Trappers - Coming off a 78-84 season, 3rd in the WL West, Edmonton is much like Niagara in having a great prospect pool. They've also got talent that suggests they should have done much better this year than they did. Regina Bone Pilers - Sitting in the #1 minor league system, including the #1 prospect in Alan Boutilier. With a 10 in contact this guy will likely set records in the CBL. Coming off a 78-84 season putting them 3rd in the WL Prairie. Ottawa Highlanders - Finished 75-87, 4th in the EL Central last year. Another young team with several solid prospects waiting to come up. To apply, just PM me on this board. Please let me know your name, email address, any OOTP league experience you have, etc! Thank you! Last edited by chrisj; 11-05-2015 at 12:08 AM. |

A great league looking for good GMs. Joining a new league is frustrating if you don't start with anything to work with. A few of the open teams are solid and have very bright futures. Just need the right GM!
We use OOTP'15 currently but are discussing whether or not to switch to '16 or wait until '17 comes out. Don't pass up a good league if you still have '15 installed.

Can't recommend this league enough no matter how much experience you have with online leagues.
Chris is a phenomenal commissioner, in case running a league for 13 years wasn't enough of a clue. |
