Can't launch game since updating to MacOS Ventura

I have the steam version. When I attempt to launch the game via steam or desktop I get the error message "Franchise Hockey Manager 8 is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash." Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and have no luck getting the game to launch. Anyone else on Mac with this issue?

I'm also having this issue. A common fix for this with other apps was to run

Quote:
xattr -cr path/to/game
but that doesn't work for me.

Okay, I got it to work:

- Right click FHM in Steam, click "Manage" and then go to "Browse local files"
- In the opened file window, hold CTRL and click on the Franchise Hockey Manager 8 app. Then click "Open"
- The "app is damaged" dialog will prompt, but will give you an additional "Open" option. Click that
- You may get another error saying Steam needs to be running (even though it is). If so, put Steam in offline mode (from menu bar: Account -> Go Offline), restart Steam, and try the above steps again. It should open properly this time.

Thanks, I was able to get this to work. There seems to be a very specific set of steps to restarting your steam client associated with getting around this. Seems like the steam client needs to go from offline to online, then the game needs to be opened normally. Something about the OS update must be preventing the game from seeing the client is online and passes checks.

I will be buying FHM 9 on Fastspring

This worked for me in that the app launched, but it still could not connect to online services, so games I saved on my laptop are not accessible.
