Real players in Fictional League?
So I'm attempting to create a fictional league, with a unique 36-team setup I've been using since OOTP14. I've just been porting it from version to version, but this time I decided I wanted to start it over from scratch, but use present-day players instead (like to see Mike Trout suiting up for the Sin City Saints, or the Detroit Diesel, etc., instead of fake players). So I'm trying to create the brand new league, and I'm editing the cities and team names and all that.. but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get real players into the league instead of fictional ones. Do I need to be creating a historical league instead, and simply using 2018? I'd like the real players to be used, even all the way down to the minor leagues (which I've also customized)... Thanks in advance, and apologies if this is covered in another thread.. thought this would be the best place to post it.

you can create your fictional league. and then delete all the players. You will then need to import real players into your game.
You can find those players in the MLB and MiLB .csv files in the stats folder, - they are in your Documents folder. this thread explains the basics ..... http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ight=text+file if you want some specifics, i've got a write up specifically on how to bring players in a text file. i currently am playing a fictional (48 teams) set-up and i import all the major league players from a given year, mix them with fictional ones. To get it so you don't have fictional, just set you game to create no fictional players, and you can import all the players needed. it's a lot of work at first to get all the years and players into a text file for each year. But it works, as i'm in year 12 of my game doing it, from 1871. if you want or need more detailed instructions, if you want to try it, let me know and i can send my funky little document that may make this clearer.
