Stadium Updates
Boof Bonser pointed out the broken backgrounds on some of the models. I went back through and fixed the backgrounds. You can find the full list of updates here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing

I live in Fresno and like to say that all the time. We are considered a mediocre nothing city in California yet we dwarf most other "big" cities outside the state. Speaking of...I added my request for you to take a crack at Chukchansi Park our triple A park in downtown Fresno. Great place to catch a game! Last edited by andyhdz; 05-28-2019 at 08:57 PM. |

El Paso, TX - Southwest University Park
Southwest University Park was wedged into a portion of downtown El Paso, and the outfield was built around some old structures in the city. The stadium itself is pretty beautiful and odd shaped (especially the circular home run porch in left, and I enjoyed building the structures in right.
The park is at elevation and relatively large, so it's a hitter's paradise. Pitchers beware. Zip File can be found here Park Factors Day Night Last edited by nielsoncp; 05-29-2019 at 05:50 PM. |

Thanks for adding it to the list! I have a couple projects in the works at the moment, but, when I'm done with those, I may take a look.

thank you for making the stadiums so customizable. It's been a blast putting in my team logos and graphics to the stadiums to truly make them feel like they "belong" to my teams. I'll post an example so others can see.

Here is the Boise ballpark that I added the team logo and colors for my Boise Bullies. I replaced the scoreboard and added the jumbotron with a screenshot of the stadium. This took maybe like less than 10 minutes.

San Jose, CA - Apple Park
Last week I traveled out to San Jose for a wedding. The city was pretty spectacular (so much good food), and our hotel ended up being across from Apple HQ. I decided to take some of the design aesthetic from that building (all the white and glass) and combine it with old Cisco Field model proposed by the A's.
The stadium is relatively neutral, but the high walls in left and right field cut down on home runs a good bit. Zip File can be found here Park Factors Day Night |

My last few stadiums have been based on this study from Beyond the Box Score, exploring the likelihood of expansion into major cities:
Part 1: The Top 10 - a list of the ten most likely expansion cities. Part 2: The Underdogs - cities that are less likely to have a major league team, but fell within the parameters of the study. Part 3: The Dependents - Cities that had factors that could make or break them. We now have parks for the top 20 most likely expansion locations (including multiple options for a few cities) in the study. So, feel free to expand away. |

Nielsoncp's Ballpark Concepts and 3D Models
And, for the next act...
If you've been following the SportsLogos.net boards (because let's be honest, most of us lurk over there from time to time) you may have noticed that SFGiants58 is in the middle of a fascinating series about almost relocations and failed franchises. It's been a fascinating re-imagining of franchises. I asked SFGiants58 for permission to use some of his logos and work in my stadiums, and he agreed, so over the next couple of weeks I'm going build some new stadiums and rebrand others in case people want to use those franchises in their games. I'll also link to the write-ups and his original work in my posts so you can see what he's been doing. Last edited by nielsoncp; 06-06-2019 at 01:22 AM. |

SFG58 - Greensboro, NC - First National Bank Field
First up, the Twins almost-relocation to Greensboro, NC.
The park plays pretty batter friendly, especially for power hitters. Zip file can be found here Park Factors Day Night Last edited by nielsoncp; 06-08-2019 at 07:43 PM. |

I think Apple Park is your finest work yet, or at least my favorite. Thank you for all your great work!

East Rutherford, NJ - Meadowlands Sportsplex
Next in the series, the almost-relocation to New Jersey by the Montreal Expos. The location of the stadium would have made them neighbors of the New York Football Giants, but clearly didn't come to pass.
The park is pretty neutral, but with deeper corners, it cuts down on the overall number of home runs. Zip File can be found here Park Factors Day Night |

Portland Diamond Project - SFG58 Version
SFG58 released a Portland concept this afternoon, and it caused me to go in and tinker a bit with my model of the Portland Diamond Project's concepts. I added in new dugouts and a day/night background, as well as a few other smaller cosmetic tweaks.
The new zip file can be found here Day Night Last edited by nielsoncp; 06-08-2019 at 07:47 PM. |

San Juan, PR - Hiram Bithorn Stadium
SFG58 is currently focusing on the Expos relocations, and he started with Puerto Rico (where the Expos actually played games.) I did a couple versions of this stadium.
The first is a sketch-up conversion of the actual stadium. Zip File is Here Park Factors are here Day Night The second is a modified version with an extra deck and larger bleachers, along with a larger video board. Zip File is Here Day Night Last edited by nielsoncp; 06-15-2019 at 01:53 AM. |

I know nielson put the pointers in a post somewhere earlier in the thread, IIRC, but I'm not finding it at the moment. I will keep looking, though, so this is a just in case question. Thanks.
