Joel Diaz had TJ surgery in March 2023 according to Fangraphs.
Layonel Ovalles' ratings seem to be inflated (70 Curveball and Fastball), he's not among Mets' top 37 prospects at Fangraphs. Future Value level at less than 35+.

recent live starts still had Eric Hosmer on the cubs roster even though they released him back on May 25th.

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is with the live starts having this issue. When I started my most recent game a month or so ago, MadBum was still on the D-Backs. Apparently OOTP doesn't control the live start database, that comes from a separate company, which like the 3D ballparks that never got updated, means that perhaps they should look at getting another company to do that, as the feature isn't working correctly.

Hope it gets fixed/figured out soon. Every season I start a live start at the all-star break that I use for a long-term save.

Cole Eaton from Nebraska in Draft pools elilible 2026 from Univ of Tennessee might not be African but Caucasian.

Am I blind or why isn't Scotrates Brito in this game.
He played KBO All-Star game I think and is listed with KIA.

I might have missed something.
He was in version 23 but not in this new version what I can see

The foreign players in the KBO have randomized names due to licensing requirements.

My Lord, this very very sad licensing stuff really messed up this game on so many levels.
What can be the next thing. All foreign players in MLB becomes fictional too.

I stick with playing historical so you guys better not start mess up that too considering those foreign players that came over to the 2nd best baseball country in the world these days.

Licensing has always been a problem going back years.....you must be too young to remember when there were baseball games that had the MLBPA license but guys like Barry Bonds were not part of that agreement, so they had to change his name even though by looking at his stats you knew it was him.

I've started a bunch of new games since the end of the 2023 season with perfect scouting turned on and the Orioles farm system always ranks towards the bottom of the league (latest game had them next to last with only 1 top 100 prospect, Holliday, who was ranked 71st). I know there is some randomness built in, but the O's have a consensus top 3 system with 8 top 100 prospects in recent publication lists. Is this discrepancy intentional?

Realism has never been OOTP's strong suit. I've been playing it since its beginning and can say that with complete confidence.
