You can adjust the font sizes, by the way, in case your phone is on the small side.
Wonderful! I've been hoping for a mobile version of OOTP for some time. My 63 year old eyes absolutely love the big, easy-to-read text!

I'm not interested in 3D--I just want a mobile baseball game with realistic stats. One that lets me do the things I love most: set lineups, make trades, work with my rotation during games...

With a mobile game developed by this company at least I know the stats will be reliable and the players will perform realistically.

Nice looking reboot!

Offering contracts to free agents: we will have the ability to see a list of open offers, and be able to adjust or delete the offer.

Similar question on trade offers?

Is a spring release realistic for this game?

OOTP GO release date and OS's

Folks maybe I missed it but when will OOTP Go! be released for IOS and Android? are we looking at July 2021?

Also do I have to purchase the game twice to run on IOS and Android? I as I have an Iphone but have an Android tablet. I assume yes but wanted to verify...

Thanks

Many have been waiting for years for this game to come out. The answer is it will come out when it comes out, however all signs point to OOTPGO being released within the baseball season of 2021.

The download is free so you can easily use on both devices. Not sure if the add-ons that you can buy are tranferable to both IOS and Android? Good question.

As Daves mentioned the base game/app is free I would imagine that given additional seasons/bundles are in app purchases you would have to buy these if you're interested for both as they are different "stores". You can play the current season, the couple of seasons included, fictional and Perfect Team if you participate without spending a dime.

For the amount of time I spent playing the previous versions the $25 or less (don't remember the total) I spent to buy all seasons was money well spent but I can understand not wanting to spend $50.

I believe they stated that current rosters will be a 4.99 purchase, however, since the base-game is free (it used to cost around 4.99 to purchase MLB Manager/iOOTP which had the current rosters and a few historical seasons).

OOTPGO won’t have all the OOTP22 features. Not sure if facegen will be a feature for GO?

Will you be able to manage an online league from your phone?

For me, it's ok if the GO version does not have Facegen. As long as the stats are realistic and the game lets me do the things I love to do in a baseball game.

It's interesting that the game will allow you to change the size of the font. There is another company that makes sports games that have always been a real problem for me because of the size of the fonts they use. When trying to explain this to them they act like changing a font size is as complicated as planning a manned mission to Mars.

For OOTP, it's just another way to customize. Other companies could really learn from what Markus has done over the years.

I have the free version of OOTP5 on a flash drive, and for several days now after work I have been playing a league I started years ago. Just for nostalgia's sake.

If GO were only as sophisticated as OOTP5 I would be happy. But it looks like it will be much, much more.

Crossing my fingers and hoping for a release sooner rather than later.

I was wondering how far back can you start a fictional League? is it limited to 1901 or can you go back to 1871?

As long as there is a Manager Mode for me to prove myself how inept a GM I am, I'm happier than a Guinea Pig eating lettuce....

Somebody asked this earlier, and I haven't seen an answer. Will historical and future expansion/relocation take place in OOTP Go?

Well that's disappointing. I have a 3-person league filled out with AIs that I'm pretty sure I could get a few more humans into if they could do it via an app.

Online leagues through the app would be a great concept.

Will the minor leagues be playable, as they are in PC version?

One of my favourite things is to watch my draft picks play their way through the farm system game by game, and to be able to set the lineups and promote/demote players.

Haven’t been playing OOTP for about three years partly because I injured my back and can no longer sit at a pc or laptop for an extended period so I do pretty much every thing on an ipad now. I had the app they discontinued and found it very easy to use and was hoping for a full or near fully featured app at some future point. This is very good news and if the new app has all the features mentioned in this thread I definitely will be getting it the day it comes out. It’s almost like a dream coming true !
