the trick I found is one of either:
(1) "scratch" the starting goalie by setting his "injury" to be personal reasons with 1 as the number value

(2) set the backup goalie stamina = 20 and the #1 goalie stamina = 6. if on the roster screen the backup is listed above the #1 goalie then you should be good


that's how I do it throughout the season. Fingers crossed that in FHM11 the devs have listened to our repeated requests to set lineups even in GM only mode. Even if you use the "replace with" option on the roster (or lines) screen, when you go to play a game, the lineups revert back to AI lines, replacing any changes you may have made.

Please let this be fixed for FHM 11 as well as really good players just staying in free agree for years. Those are deal breakers for me.

There is testimony in this thread from users who were previously experiencing the problem that it is now resolved.
