Also, what of the Puerto Rican summer leagues? Great project you've undertaken here. Nice work so far.

It looks good to me, so I will use it (the romanization system) to spell players' names. I have not started collecting players' stats yet. At my spare time, I will add awards list first. At the end of March, the full 2006 season roster will be available and I will start adding players into teams. |

Some decent info about baseball in each of the countries in the WBC in the team capsules at espn.com.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/worldclassic2006/index General info about teams, schedules, number of foreign players allowed, level of play compared to MLB, etc. Pages likely to be gone shortly following the WBC, I'd imagine. |

I've got the 2006 schedules for a lot of those leagues.
One little problem with the Japanese farm leagues - while the Western League schedule adds up properly to 88 games per team, the Eastern League schedule does not. Only one team has the proper 96 games; the rest have either 94 or 95 games. And the schedule is of such an uneven format it's practically impossible to tell where the missing games should go... |

Hey all,
A lot of folks outside this thread were about to build WBC rosters but I see that's on your list. Is it possible to request that you work on getting the WBC rosters built first since your task is huge and I'm not so sure you'll have all the leagues done when OOTP comes out. And let us know what we can do to help... |

Bump. I've got the CPBL 2006 season opening roster on a spread sheet. Once I finished translating all players' names into English, I will post them on the board.

Is anyone going to make up a roster set for these leagues at least the top ones such as japan, korea, mexico, cuba and so on? Because that would be awesome.

Australia - Claxton Shield
I think this is a fantastic idea.
Just to update the earlier post on Australia - a new baseball facility has been built in Western Australia (where I live) in Thornlie. The new facility is called "Baseball Park". Also, the Western Heelers are now called the Barbagallo Perth Heat. Further details can be obtained from BWA: http://www.wa.baseball.com.au/ and Perth Heat: http://www.perthheat.com.au/ I have the 2006 Claxton Shield rosters in a word document if you want them. TEXT FILE ATTACHED Claxton Shield 2006 Rosters.txt I can email word doc to you, but too big to upload (~450K). 2006 CLAXTON SHIELD (AUSTRALIA) Players/Staff Information First Name - doc Last Name - doc Nickname Uniform Number - doc Height Weight Date of Birth - doc Birthplace (with as much info as possible) Nationality (-ies) Bats - doc Throws - doc Position - doc Current Team - doc Previous Teams with Any Stats Injury History Contract Details (Amount/Length/Clauses/etc.) – amateur League-Specific Contract Details (waiver status, service time, etc.) – not applicable Languages Spoken (Basic/Fluent) – English Insufficient games in Claxton Shield for statistics to be meaningful. If you think it helpful, I could track down statistics for these (at least WA) players from the State League which is the next level down from Claxton Shield. Yeah, a third party equivalent to "head researchers" and "team researchers" for OOTP in the way other SI games have.
