Glaus followed with his own run-scoring single. In the bottom of the third, Olerud hit a two-out RBI double. It was the first earned run for either team in the game. In the bottom of the fifth, the Mariners again loaded the bases, this time with two out. But Wilson lined to second to end the inning. In the top of the sixth, Ramirez hit a solo shot 391 feet.
