AI Defensive Positioning

Hello, sorry if this has been asked and answered numerous times but I am new. I purchased the other day when it was on sale in steam. So far I love it. One question....when managing a game I set evering to manual except defensive positioning. I want the AI to handle that. i select AI for Def Pos in the options screen before the game and sometimes during the game. In the game screen, the infield and outfield always stays on normal. The AI is not making shifts or dp depths at all for my team. When the AI is at bat it does the changes for their team.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Check you Team Strategy settings... you can adjust the frequency of lots of items in 9 different scores and innings

Thanks for the quick reply. I have the Play Infield In and Shifts both up past the middle towards frequently for all times and scores. Still does not work in manager mode.

Sounds like a bugger.. but i havent seen that in games i play ai vs ai 3d in an online league.. then again small sample size... maybe someone else will chime in

I'd like to re-open this topic. Playing OOTP25 in one pitch mode; not pitch by pitch. I also let AI set my defensive positioning and have it set to be fairly aggressive. However, it seems that the defensive adjustment is not showing before the pitch. My memory may not be great, but I thought I saw the defensive set before the pitch in OOTP24.. However, now it seems that if there IS a change, I am seeing it after the play is over. As an example, runner on first, no outs, IF and OF normal. Batter hits into a fielders choice - batter out at first, runner now on second. Next batter, the defense is showing IF at double play depth. Not the proper setting for the game situation. Should the defensive position be showing before the pitch?
