hmmm, maybe if i get time this weekend i will attempt to re-upload. I've worked on updating some things since this release anyway. i'll try it next time as a zipped file that i'll upload.

eventually, I am gonna rework this entire file during the season to re-do everything using the new OOTP 25 ratings. a straight up conversion alters expected batting averages and gap power much too low.

now that i think of it, it is most definitely because of a certain japanese league that was in this file at the time. i had some all time japanese greats uploaded and that made this unuseable.

Well that explains what is happening.

that is too bad actually.
Maybe you can keep the stats for the players, just change the league affiliation for those stats so they appear to come from a league in Jamaica or Jordan or something, then the player file can mostly stay in tact.


I noticed too that the conversion up to 25 really hit batting contact values, but didn't notice that it did the same with gap power until you mentioned it

yeah it's something that i am going to set up a macro to re-rate everyone within 25 after import based on their ratings in 24 but that'll take some time to get around to.

in the meantime i am working on a quickstart of best teams of all time that i want for playing out series between good teams. currently the game doesnt use the teams the way they were used in real life when you import them and also i prefer the end of season roster rather than start of season. and then lastly the game doesn't really do ratings for splits very good, especially pitchers which all seem to get generic splits that are slightly worse on their weak side rather than realistic. you dont see any pitchers with big differences in splits even though it happens in real life. so that'll be something i release as a quickstart this year as well with updates as i complete more teams. kicking off with 6 teams from 1984 and 6 from 1990 before releasing the first iteration.
