In the top of the third, McGraw got a two-RBI single to put the Orioles on the board first. Donlin added a two-out RBI single to bring his hitting streak to 11 games.

McGinnity had a no-hitter through three.

In the bottom of the fourth, Cross led off with a single to extend his hitting streak to 11 games and give the Athletics their first hit of the game.

In the top of the fifth, an RBI single gave Williams an 11-game hitting streak. Seymour singled with two out for his 11th straight game with a hit and loaded the bases. Bresnahan brought two home with a single. An infield single by Hart reloaded the bases with two out before McGinnity grounded to first to retire the side.

In the bottom of the sixth, Fultz injured his hand breaking up a double play but he remained in the game. A Seybold two-out single scored the Athletics first run of the game.

After six: Baltimore 6 Philadelphia 1.

In the bottom of the seventh, Powers scored from third when Connaughton grounded to second.

The Orioles got 11 hits in the win.
