The American Circuits—a fictional league loosely based on history (very loosely)

This is a fictional league (fictional players/fictional teams) currently set in 1964. We have been "human-run" since 1946 (we simmed 70 years of pre-history prior to that).

We are planning a four-team expansion in 1966, which is about four months away in real time. If possible, I would like to get GMs in place for the four teams well before the 1965–1966 offseason.

Current vacancy:

Washington Rough Riders—a rebuilding team that still has some work ahead of it, but is making progress. They’re close to a .500 team in our current season (48-54 as I write this). They have plenty of good young pitchers in various stages of development, plus a young infielder who looks like a future superstar.

Future vacancies:

Denver Burros—1966 expansion team

Los Angeles Blockbusters—1966 expansion team

New York Empires—established team with good overall talent, usually a contender. Their GM wants to begin anew with the expansion Atlanta Geneals in 1966, so the Empires will be in need of a GM beginning that year.

San Diego Captains—1966 expansion team

I have just completed my seventh season in this league as the GM of the St. Louis franchise. We have just completed our conversion to OOTP23. The draft will be conducted soon.

I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying AC. The commish is open, honest and diligent. The Slack channel is active and respectful. There is no dominant team as we have had a different champion in each of the last ten seasons. The three teams that are available each have many things going for them.

Boston Terriers: One of the original franchises. In their 86 year history they are winners of four championships, including being the last team to repeat in 1951. This last season they were involved in a four team pennant race that went down to the last sim of the season. They finished 3 games back. They bare the 8th youngest team in the league.

Chicago Traders: Another one of the original franchises, they are of the more storied teams in the league. They have 15 championships in their 86 year history. They also have two first round picks in the up coming draft.

Washington Rough Riders: An expansion team that joined in 1955 (the same year I joined) that enjoyed a winning inaugural season. They are the seventh youngest team in the league and have 2 second round picks in the upcoming draft.

I highly recommend joining AC, you won't regret it.

We’re at our trade deadline right now, and we always take a week-long break at that time to give people a chance to negotiate deals. So it’s a perfect time to get into the league.
