How to create HS Feeder League with players from only Pennsylvania?

I need a new OOTP challenge so I decided to create the Pennsy Union Baseball League. All MLB level teams will be in Pennsylvania, along with their Feeder College, Junior College, and High School Leagues. I have everything set up, however players importing into the High School League each year are coming from all over the United States. Is there any way to limit the incoming High School Freshmen to only Pennsylvania?

I want to see if this will work before I go to all the trouble of creating Logos and Unis.

Thanks!

Sorry, not much help with this, although, like you, I've been searching for different ways to play this game, as I've been playing since OOTP4 in every way imaginable. Anyway, just last week, I went back to feeder leagues, and when I looked at players, they are from all over. I looked over a HS team in Cleveland, and not one player's from there? I'll poke around and see if I can get an answer.

By the way, I'm originally from PA(Chester Cty), and my wife is from the Pittsburgh area. Moved to Savannah in 2016.

I like your concept, and will be following.

Progen thanks for your reply! I do love Feeder Leagues and what they add. But for whatever reason it just seems harder to set-up a Fictional League and getting it to work realistically stat-wise and financial-wise this year.

I think I'll change up my League to 16 Major League level teams, full Minors, then add 32 College, 32 Juco, and 64 High School Feeder teams. The College level Leagues will be Regional and the High School Leagues will be State Level. That should easily fill the ranks each year.

Financially I will create a world where the Super Star Quality Salary is around $1m going down to a Minimum Player Salary of $125,000.

And lastly, Stat-wise, I think I'll find a prior year with less Home Runs & Strikeouts then current day. I want to Lock the League Totals, Re-Calc on Opening Day, then let them ride without worry of my totals rising off the charts.

Time to see if this works...

Progen you were lucky to escape Chester! Savannah is awesome. I used to live in Reading but moved home to Farmersville a few years ago.

Sounds like a plan. And not Chester, gosh forbid, Downingtown in Chester county, lol.

Right now the only way to do it is to use a modified World.XML file that has each state listed as its own country. If you look in the MODS folder there was one that someone was working on. I want to try this myself but could be quite the undertaking. If I can do anything to help let me know

Trevor - thank you! I have the time, just unsure I have the gumption. I do know selecting "team state/region" when filling your rosters helps generate players somewhat closer.

Hmm, I might try modifying the World XML File for a few States just to see the results. I should have time this weekend. Will post my results.

Thanks again!

Yeah no problem. Let me know how it goes as I use a 50 state HS feeder league and would love to have players from the correct state play in each team.
