Historical league issue
I am probably doing something wrong here. Every time I try to start a historical league in 1871, I get at least 1 team with less than 9 players on active roster. How do I fix that?

OOTP has a minimum roster limit of 15 although in 1871 quite often a team carried 9 or 10. There were 8 pro teams in 1871 although one of them played no games. The Lahman database has 116 available players for use by OOTP in 1871 to spread across its 8 teams.
However in 1870 there were 15 "pro" teams. The problem is that the rest of these historical players, who did not play in the "majors" in 1871, are not available for use in OOTP. The Spritze db pretty much fixes that challenge. Actually it is why I first made it. The Spritze db has 253 historical players available in 1871. This makes the artificially high roster requirement (15) in 1871 not have such a detrimental effect.
