Trade prohibited.

I have had a couple of players in my historical league, that I am prohibited from trading. When I attempt to do so, the message states that they are either already involved in a trade or are soon to be free agents. Neither of these apply. I am in a historical league that predates free agency and I have double checked that there were no open trades with them Any thoughts??

This has been brought up before. Check your inbox - if the AI has sent you a trade offer involving those players, you have to reject it, otherwise it considers them in an open trade. That was the fix last time this was brought up, anyway.

Hi Fyrestorm3, I could not find any trade proposal for either of these in my message box. This is a historical league and it goes back for a few years, with the one player having this problem for at least 3 seasons. One would think a trade would expire. Any other thoughts.

Another suggestion from that thread was to go into the trade screen and go team by team - select every other team one by one as a trading partner - and see if any of them have your players listed.

You could also move these players to another level in your org (to the minors perhaps) and see if that unlocks them.

I tried all the above suggestions, but am still unable to enter 2 players into any trades, with the same error message of already included in a pending trade or are a pending free agent, but neither of these apply. Is it worth sending a ticket in for support?? How does that work??
