Question Contract -> Incentives -> Minimum

I played Tony LaRussa Baseball (first release through 3) and really miss seeing new versions of this game. Closest I can find seems to be OOTP, so I recently grabbed OOTP14. So the contracting Free Agents is rather new to me.

Everything seemed pretty understandable, until I hit the Minimum Innings/Minimum Plate. This then becomes my question:

Minimum Plate/Inning = per game or per season or life of contract?

Initially I figured it was per game. Now I am thinking it may be per season or life of contract.

Please clarify.

Per season to my knowledge, I leave those blank 9 times out of 10. i will throw incentives in for long term deals not one year FA.

I have noticed that some people use it to break past the more stubborn "negotiations". That is why I am working on getting know the system as completely as possible. Research before commitment.

Per season for the life of contract. So any time a player reaches the min in a year he will get the bonus for that year. That is why when you offer a player a contract you will see a max value of contract. He will be paid this max amount if he meets the min every year.
